The Track Team is under the direction of Head Coach C.B. Cadenhead, and his ten volunteer assistant coaches. Coach CB has been coaching track and field for more than twenty years in  Kansas City's urban core, and is responsible for helping many of its participants obtain scholarships and financial assistance to go on to college.

The Track Team is open to youth between the ages of three and eighteen. The mini-team is composed of youth between three and eight, and has its own coaches and meet schedule.  The senior team is for youth nine through eighteen.

During the winter months, November through March, the Track Team meets inside three nights a week for strength and conditioning sessions. The outdoor season begins its practice schedule on the first Tuesday in April, followed by practice sessions every Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday evenings at the beautiful new track across from Central High School. Track meets usually take place on Saturdays throughout the Greater Kansas City area, with occasional trips to surrounding cities such as Columbia, Lawrence, and Joplin. At the conclusion of the season, qualifying team members will compete in the national championships (AAU and/or USATF), which are held in August each year in different cities throughout the country.
