2018 Swimming Program

2018 Swimming Program

Every year we work towards increasing water safety and awareness among our club members and our community through this amazing program.  2018 proved to be both an exciting and extremely successful year for swimming. Starting early, we saw an extremely successful launch of a community outreach program.  This year we had more people then ever overcome fear, learn about swimming and water safety, and have a ton of fun too!

Swimming Success Stories

This is has been an exciting summer in the pool.  More than 350 individuals participated in our youth aquatics programming. this has been our largest, and most successful program to date.  Youth participated in the Michael Phelps Foundation IM program over the summer.  With the end of our summer programming we saw a significant number of  young people being recognized for their work in the pool.  Through the program, they learned water safety, swimming basics, and some games to play in the pool.  Owing to the hard work of our aquatics director, Coach Kimmer Songer this program had its most successful year ever. Accordingly, we had more awards given out then ever!  Each award represents an accomplishment that a participating youth completed. These accomplishments ranged from overcoming fear of water, to crossing the length of a pool unaided.

In total, a whopping 87 medals were awarded at the end of the summer swimming program. Congratulations to all of our youth members who earned those awards!

Overall, the success of this program will be felt by many families and individuals for years to come.
